James Chie

James Chie is an experienced executive with a strong background in business development and strategic partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region. Currently serving as Director and APAC Lead for Business Development and Product Partnerships at Ripple since August 2022, James Chie focuses on expanding Ripple’s ODL, Payments, and Stablecoins initiatives. Previously, James Chie held roles such as Head of Business Development for EMQ Inc., where leadership was exercised in cross-border payments, and Executive Director at Wells Fargo, successfully establishing the bank’s presence in Singapore and ASEAN. Previous experience includes directorial positions at Banco Santander and investment banking roles at Bank of America and SMIC. James Chie holds a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
