Senior IP Specialist, Structural Biology and Biophysics IP Liaison at Treeline Biosciences

Kimberly Maize has a diverse background in the field of biosciences and intellectual property (IP). Kimberly is currently working as a Senior IP Specialist and Structural Biology and Biophysics IP Liaison at Treeline Biosciences since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Technology Specialist at Fish & Richardson P.C. from July 2017 to June 2021.

During their graduate research in the Medicinal Chemistry department, their focus was on structure-based drug design. Specifically, they explored the impact of small molecule inhibitors on the conformation of the anthrax toxin lethal factor and analyzed the structural basis of activation and the tolerance of the active site for modified molecules using human histidine triad nucleotide binding proteins.

Kimberly Maize holds a Master's Degree in Patent Law, which they obtained from the University of Minnesota in 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medicinal Chemistry at the same university from 2011 to 2016.
