Elodie J.Y. Roger has a diverse range of work experience. Elodie J.Y. started their career in 2009 as a Housekeeper and Conservation Assistant at Gîte de la Montagne Enchantée. In 2010 and 2011, they worked as a Conservation Assistant at Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle d'Angers. From 2012, Elodie worked as a Consultant at Botanical Gardens Conservation International, where they translated and developed documents and websites related to the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation toolkit. In 2013, they joined Trees for Life as part of the Biodiversity Mapping Project. From there, Elodie took on several roles including Seed Saver, Workshop Facilitator, and Ecological Restoration at Victoria Seed Library. Elodie J.Y. also worked as a Workshop Facilitator and Public Speaker at Metchosin Farm, Victoria Seed Library, and as a Seed Saver at Metchosin Farm and Fireweed Farm. Throughout their career, Elodie has shown a strong commitment to conservation and is skilled in seed saving, workshop facilitation, and biodiversity mapping.

Elodie J.Y. Roger's education history includes various academic and practical experiences in the fields of conservation biology, ecology, herbal medicine, and food and seed security.

In 2007, Elodie J.Y. Roger began studying at the Université catholique de l'Ouest, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Applied Ecology. During this period, they focused on terrestrial and marine ecology, ecological modelling, and genetics.

In 2010, Elodie J.Y. Roger took part in an Erasmus Semester at the University of Helsinki. Here, they dedicated their studies to boreal biota and ecology, further expanding their knowledge of the subject.

The following year, Elodie J.Y. Roger enrolled in a Master of Science program at the University of Kent, specializing in Conservation and Rural Development. Throughout this course, they gained insights into conservation biology, community development, and the management of protected areas.

In 2016, Elodie J.Y. Roger participated in a program called A-Z Agro-ecology and Organic Food Systems at Earth University - Navdanya Farm in India, under the guidance of Dr. Vandana Shiva. Here, they delved into the study of food and seed security, enriching their understanding of these crucial aspects.

In 2017, Elodie J.Y. Roger pursued an apprenticeship in herbal medicine at Fireweed Farm and School with Jessy Delleman. This hands-on experience allowed their to delve into the practical aspects of herbal medicine.
