Brandon Craft has over 18 years of work experience in the forestry industry. Brandon began their career in 2003 as a Research Hourly Worker at The Jones Center at Ichauway, where they gained skills in species identification and care, invasive species removal, and forest inventory. In 2013, they began working at Auburn University SFWS as a Student Worker Longleaf Pine Stand Dynamics Lab and a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Prescribed Fire Management program. During this time, they were responsible for teaching labs and further honing their dendrology skills. In 2014, they Co-Founded Longcane Environmental, an LLC that provided ecological restoration and land management services. In 2015, they became the Owner/Forester of B. K. Craft Forestry LLC, where they developed management skills by heading up a team of recent college graduates on large projects. Brandon also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Lipscomb University during this time. In 2019, they began working at FOREST RESOURCE CONSULTANTS, INC. as a Technical Services Forester. Most recently, they have held positions as Manager, Forestry Operations at NCX and Head of Forest Operations at Treeswift.

Brandon Craft has an extensive educational background. Brandon earned their B.A. in Humanities and Biblical Studies from Point University in 2008. Brandon then went on to receive a Post-Graduate Cert in Forestry from Bangor University in 2012. After that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Natural Resources, Professional Forester option from Auburn University in 2015. In addition to their formal education, Craft has obtained several certifications, including Certified Forester (CF) from the Society of American Foresters in 2020, Data Science Foundations: Fundamentals (2016) from LinkedIn in 2019, Programming Foundations: Databases from LinkedIn in 2019, SQL Tips, Tricks, & Techniques from LinkedIn in 2019, The Data Game of Fantasy Football from LinkedIn in 2019, Professional Logging Manager from the Alabama Forestry Association in 2016, Candidate Certified Forester from the Society of American Foresters in 2015, and Alabama Certified Prescribed Burn Manager.
