Kate Elmes

Kate Elmes is an accomplished professional in the non-profit and political sectors, currently serving as Deputy Director at Trekkers since September 2018 and holding interim roles as Executive Director and Director of Development within the organization. Elmes is also a Commissioner for Maine's Permanent Commission on the Status of Women, previously serving as Chair from April 2019 to December 2023. Additional experience includes board membership at Emerge Maine and development work at the Island Institute. Elmes is a graduate of the Women's Campaign School at Yale, has interned at the U.S. House of Representatives, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Women's Studies from Lesley University.
