Alex Plavnik

Alex Plavnik, a Director on Treliant’s Capital Markets Data Solutions team, has over 15 years of experience in front and middle office roles within the Financial Services industry. Alex is a banking executive leading trading operations, capital markets system upgrades, cloud migrations, and regulatory projects for derivatives applications such as Murex, Summit, and Bloomberg. Alex is passionate about mentoring highly accountable, top-performing teams that deliver on creative, transformative projects to improve profitability while achieving client satisfaction.

Prior to Treliant, Alex spent six years as a director for Capital One. In this role, Alex added CDX Index Options and Inflation Swaps while enhancing existing products such as Cross Currency Swaps and NDFs. He also ran Summit 5.5 to 6.1 upgrade implementation, which included budgeting, scope of work negotiation, configuration, and testing. He assisted in complying with Volcker and Swap Dealer regulation by separating Murex trading desks, automating back-to-back trades, adding the MarkitWire Dealer API, along with integration to multiple SEFs. Alex also held various roles with Point 72, Dart Management, MetLife, TIAA, and Morgan Stanley.

Alex has a BA in Economics and a BSc in Computer Science from Rutgers University. Alex is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds The Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM®)
