Claude Kornelis

Director Digital Business Development at Trelleborg Group

Claude Kornelis has over 23 years of work experience in various roles in the digital and customer service domains. Claude started their career in 1997 as a project leader at Lensvelt BV. Claude then worked at Busak+Shamban Netherlands, initially as a Technical Support Engineer from 1998 to 2000, and later as a Technical Support Manager from 2000 to 2004.

In 2004, Claude joined Trelleborg Group, a global industrial group with over 20,000 employees. Claude held several positions within the group, starting as a Product Data Manager Europe from 2004 to 2008. Claude then became the Head of E-Tools & Digital Services from 2008 to 2014, where they were responsible for the global digital strategy and development of web-based and mobile customer services and tools. From 2014 to 2016, they served as the Director of Digital Services, overseeing the digital strategy and development of customer services and tools for the Sealing Solutions division. Currently, Claude holds the position of Director of Digital Business Development, where they lead the global digital strategy and development of digital services, products, and activities for the same division.

Throughout their career, Claude has consistently focused on customer engagement, business acceleration, and enhancing the customer experience through digitalization and the implementation of new models.

Claude Kornelis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from HZ University of Applied Sciences from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, Claude studied Mechanical Engineering at ROC Zeeland from 1991 to 1993, and completed their secondary education at Scholengemeenschap 't Zwin from 1986 to 1991.
