Cathryn Savino, LCPC, currently serves as the Director of Behavioral Health at Trellus, a position held since June 2019, along with the role of Clinical Manager for the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Team. Previously, Cathryn worked at Chicago Public Schools from September 2014 to June 2019 as a Social and Emotional Learning Specialist and School Counselor. Cathryn's earlier experience includes serving as a School-based Clinician at SGA Youth & Family Services and as a Project Coordinator for National Signature Events at The ALS Association. Cathryn began the professional journey as an Office Coordinator and Marketing Support at Globalcom Communications Inc. Cathryn holds a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from Arizona State University.

Headquartered in West Ridge—one of Chicago’s major refugee settlement neighborhoods—we serve individuals and families representing more than 50 nations and ethnicities. Our culturally responsive, comprehensive services include trauma-informed behavioral health counseling, case management, health education, ESL and technology classes, career training and job placement, and other supportive services. We also operate Passages Charter School, a pre-K to 8 charter school in the Andersonville neighborhood keenly focused on the needs and experience of refugee families.
