John Dunston serves as the Supervisor of STEM for Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade at Trenton Board of Education/Trenton Public Schools since September 2012, overseeing math, science, technology, and engineering initiatives across 14 elementary schools. John has successfully led the adoption of Eureka Math aligned with New Jersey Student Learning Standards and has coordinated state testing and benchmark assessment as the Supervisor of Instructional Technology, Accountability, and Research. As a STEM Leader, Dunston has enhanced student achievement in math and science through professional development for teachers and effective analysis of assessment data, resulting in improved PARCC math scores. John's previous role as a Math Teacher at Trenton Central High School West saw increased student proficiency in Algebra I and Honors Geometry, facilitating student progression to advanced math courses. John Dunston holds a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning and a Bachelor's in Mathematics from Frostburg State University.
