Monica Macal

Monica Macal has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2004 when they were a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis. In 2009, they moved to the University of California San Diego, where they held the roles of Assistant Project Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2016, they joined Five Prime Therapeutics, Inc. as a Scientist II, and was promoted to Scientist III. Most recently, in 2019, they joined TRexBio as Associate Director and Principal Scientist.

Monica Macal has an educational background that spans from 1998 to 2009. Monica obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology, General from the University of San Francisco in 2002. Monica then went on to San Francisco State University, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2004. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology at the University of California, Davis in 2009.
