Zain Akram

Research Scientist at Translational Research Institute

Zain Akram has a diverse range of work experience in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology. Starting in 2018, they worked as a Research Scientist at the Translational Research Institute Australia. In 2019, they joined the Australian Society for Microbiology and the Microbiology Society as a Member, where they actively contributed to the science of microbiology. They also became a Member of AusBiotech, an organization dedicated to the growth and prosperity of the Australian Biotechnology Industry. Additionally, Zain served as a Young Science Ambassador for Wonder of Science and a Tutor at Griffith University. They were also a Representative of Griffith University at the 2018 International HDR Experience & Employability Conference. Recently, in 2020, they joined the Australian society for biochemistry and molecular biology.

Zain Akram began their education in 1997 at Air Base Inter College Sargodha, where they pursued a degree in Chemistry and completed their F.Sc in 2007. In 2009, they joined UOS and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry in 2013.

Zain then continued their academic journey at Griffith University, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 2017 to 2020. Interestingly, they obtained this same degree again from Griffith University in 2017, but the end year is not mentioned.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Zain Akram also holds a certification as a Certified Entrepreneurship Instructor, which they obtained from Griffith University in April 2019.
