Shannon Wade has extensive work experience in the field of disability services. They first worked as a Direct Support Professional at The Guild for Exceptional Children from November 2003 to March 2009. Following this, they held the role of Administrative Assistant at the same company from April 2009 to January 2010. They then transitioned to the role of Medicaid Service Coordinator from February 2010 to June 2013, and later served as the Day Habilitation Director from July 2013 to October 2019.
In 2020, Shannon joined the SCARC Foundation as a Residential Supervisor, where they directed daily operations, supervised a staff of 7, handled policy changes during the Covid-19 pandemic, and ensured the residents' and staff's safety. Currently, Shannon works as a Care Manager at Tri-County Care CCO.
Shannon Wade holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Professional Studies from St. Francis College. Additionally, they completed a Project Management Certificate at Penn State Great Valley, specializing in Project Management. Shannon obtained certifications in various fields, including Project Management from Penn State Great Valley in August 2022, COVID-19 Contact Tracing from JOHN HOPKINS UNIVERSITY in July 2020, Certified Support Broker from the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities in October 2019.
