Tri-County Community Action Agency is a private, non-profit organization providing a broad range of services to the most vulnerable populations living in the northwestern region of Providence County, Washington and Kent Counties. The Tri-County CAA provides over 34,000 individuals and families with many services and programs, in addition to our Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) which provide primary medical, dental and behavioral health care. This unique corporate structure positions Tri-County CAA to better understand and fully address the social determinants of health affecting our patient population. Programs provided by Tri-County CAA include, but are not limited to, Head Start and Early Head Start, Fuel Assistance, Weatherization, Senior and Disabled Adult Services, Adult Education, Employment and Training programs, Summer Youth Employment, State Opioid Response (SOR) programs, Regional Substance Abuse Task Force Coalition, Juvenile Justice Hearing Boards, Family Care Community Partnership, Emergency Food and Shelter, Emergency Services, EITC and Financial Literacy, and WIC nutrition assistance. Tri-County CAA strives to empower and create opportunities for vulnerable individuals and families in our community to become socially and economically self-sufficient through integrated social, educational, health, prevention, and other basic needs services. Our vision for the communities we serve is that all residents are healthy and happy; that there is equitable access to healthcare and support services, and that there is less poverty and stigma associated with those who are struggling economically.
