Deaf Victims Advocate (voca) at Tri County Community Action

Bonnie Kaplan is an experienced advocate and specialist in supporting D/deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind individuals, currently serving as a Deaf Victims Advocate (VOCA) at Tri County Community Action since January 2019. In this role, Bonnie provides comprehensive support to victims across Rhode Island and oversees the development of a communication system tailored to their needs. Bonnie has extensive experience in outreach and advocacy, having worked as a New England Outreach Specialist for Sprint/T-Mobile Accessibility and a Program Coordinator for the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Previous roles include client relations at Partners Interpreting, LLC, a program assistant at Northeastern University, and director of cultural inclusion at Fulltime. Bonnie is also academically accomplished, holding several certifications in mobile digital forensics from Bay State College and a graduate certification in nonprofit management from Northeastern University, along with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
