Christa Svensson is a seasoned professional in the seafood and sustainability sectors, currently serving as the Sustainability Program Manager at Tri Marine Group since August 2020, focusing on environmental initiatives and social programs aimed at combating unfair labor practices in fisheries worldwide. As a Principal Consultant at Varangian Solutions, starting in February 2020, Christa provides tailored project consultations that identify gaps and develop strategic planning. Previous experience includes serving as Fleet Manager for Ilwaco Fish Company/Alber Seafoods Inc. and owning The Discovery Tea Company, along with a background in sales and marketing at Bornstein Seafoods and educating the public on seafood health benefits at National Seafood Educators. Christa holds a Master's degree in Museum Studies from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Oregon State University, complemented by studies at The University of Freiburg.
