Laura Getts

Laura Getts is a Senior Electrification Analyst at Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. since May 2023. Previously, Laura served as Business Development Manager at San Isabel Electric Association, Inc. from July 2019 to May 2023 and as Energy Coordinator for Pueblo County Government from August 2017 to July 2019. Earlier roles include an internship with the National Park Service and positions as a Research Assistant and Sustainability Fellow at Plymouth State University. Laura's entrepreneurial experience includes owning The Black Goat, LLC, and instructing at The Road Less Traveled. Additional experience includes serving as a Biological Science Technician for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and working as a GIS & Permitting Specialist at Ecosphere Environmental Services. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Plymouth State University, a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Penn State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from The University of Edinburgh.
