Mark van der Waal

Mark van der Waal has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 when they were a Co-owner and Graphic Designer for Lightcyber. In 2014, they were a Research Intern and Jr. Business Developer for Sylics. In 2015, they were a Master's Thesis Intern for the Erasmus Centre for Valorisation, a Rabobank/ACE Summerschool Entrepreneurship for the Amsterdam Center for Entrepreneurship, and a Research Intern for ViroNovative. In 2016, they were an External PhD Candidate for Athena - Research and Education Institute, a Research Associate for Sovalacc, and a Co-founder and Editor for The Barabara Tales. In 2017, they were a Management Consultant for FFUND. Finally, in 2018 they were a Co-founder and Head of Product & Innovation for Triall.

Mark van der Waal's education history includes completing a Pre-university education at Stedelijk Gymnasium Nijmegen from 2002 to 2008, a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (Major: Health Technology Assessment) at Radboud University from 2009 to 2013, an MSc in Management, Policy Analysis and Entrepreneurship in Health and Life Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2013 to 2015, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management of Intellectual Capital and IP in the Life Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2016 to 2020.
