J. Marc Overhage's work experience includes serving as the Chief Health Informatics Officer at Elevance Health since October 2020, and as a Senior Advisor and Co-founder at TriAxia Health, Inc. since January 2018. J. Marc also held the role of Chief Science Officer at TriAxia Health, Inc. from January 2020 to October 2020.

J. Marc Overhage completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Wabash College in the years 1975 to 1979. J. Marc later pursued further studies at Indiana University School of Medicine from 1979 to 1988, where they earned both a Medical Doctor (MD) degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biophysics.
