J. Marc Overhage

J. Marc Overhage's work experience includes serving as the Chief Health Informatics Officer at Elevance Health since October 2020, and as a Senior Advisor and Co-founder at TriAxia Health, Inc. since January 2018. J. Marc also held the role of Chief Science Officer at TriAxia Health, Inc. from January 2020 to October 2020.

Prior to these positions, Overhage worked at Cerner Corporation as the Chief Medical Informatics Officer & VP Intelligence Strategy from February 2017 to December 2019, and as the Chief Health Informatics Officer from February 2015 to February 2017. J. Marc was the Chief Medical Informatics Officer at Siemens Healthineers from March 2011 to February 2015.

Earlier in their career, Overhage worked as the Director of Medical Informatics at Regenstrief Institute, Inc. from July 2006 to March 2011, and as the President and CEO of Indiana Health Information Exchange from August 2004 to March 2011. J. Marc also served as a Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine from 1988 to 2011.

In addition, Overhage has served on the Board of Directors of eHealth Initiative from 2003-2009 and Health Networks International from 1988-1998. J. Marc also worked as an Information Advisor at Eli Lilly & Company in 1988-1989.

J. Marc Overhage completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Wabash College in the years 1975 to 1979. J. Marc later pursued further studies at Indiana University School of Medicine from 1979 to 1988, where they earned both a Medical Doctor (MD) degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biophysics.
