Pete LaPietra is a Managing Director of Fixed Income Sales focusing on Depository Sales, Public Fund Sales, and Structured Products. In 2007, Mr. LaPietra and his colleagues created PLP Capital Markets, which originally offered securities through Braver Stern Securities. PLP later moved to Blue Capital Securities, who subsequently became Tribal Capital Markets in mid-2015. Prior to founding PLP, Mr. LaPietra worked at FTN as a Senior Vice President, providing coverage to multibillion-dollar U.S. branches of overseas banks, domestic depository institutions, and government municipalities as a fixed income strategist and portfolio advisor. While at FTN, Pete helped the firm establish their Los Angeles office.
Mr. LaPietra began his career in 1991 as an Asset Liability analyst for Central Bank of the South in Birmingham, Alabama. By the fall of the following year, he began working as a fixed income salesperson for the firm where he developed California into the firm’s single largest territory.
Mr. LaPietra earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance at Florida State University and holds an MBA in analytical finance from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
