Andrea Passafiume

Andrea Passafiume possesses extensive experience in film programming and education, currently serving as an Associate Programmer for the Tribeca Film Festival since October 2015 and as a Programming Associate for the Sundance Institute since July 2021. In addition, Passafiume leads programming for the Seattle Deaf Film Festival, championing Deaf filmmakers, and collaborates with the Athena Film Festival to highlight stories about women and leadership. Previous roles include Program Director at Docs In Progress, Head Programmer for AFI DOCS at the American Film Institute, and various positions at Turner Classic Movies, showcasing a strong background in documentary film and media production. Passafiume holds an M.A. and a B.F.A. in Cinema Studies from New York University, complemented by a certificate in American Sign Language.
