Lisa Nelson

Lisa is an accomplished finance and business development executive with nearly 25 years of experience with companies of all sizes - from high-growth, early-stage startups to mature, multi-national corporations. Her industry experience includes software, technology and financial services. Lisa currently serves as a director and advisor to several startups and organizations around the world.

Prior to her current engagements, Lisa was an executive at Microsoft. During her 14-year tenure, Lisa held key roles across corporate accounting, finance, investor relations and business development. She also co-founded M12, the company’s venture fund. Under Lisa’s leadership, M12 become one of the most active corporate venture funds, deploying hundreds of millions of dollars in over 80 startups in just three years. Lisa also founded M12’s Female Founders Competition which has provided $10 million in venture funding, along with access to technology, resources and other benefits.
