Michael Terry

Michael Terry has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael currently works as a Staff Accountant at Tricerat since November 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Staff Accountant at Blue Ocean Realty LLC from April 2016 to September 2018. Michael also served as a Staff Accountant at Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services from September 2014 to September 2015.

Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Junior Accountant at Advanced Photonix, Inc. from October 2013 to July 2014. Michael was responsible for assisting in the data collection for the FY2014 audit and performing accounts payable/receivable duties. Michael also handled bank reconciliations and balance sheet roll-forward tasks.

Before transitioning to accounting, Michael worked as a Receiving Clerk at Lowe's Companies, Inc. from May 2013 to October 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Tax Preparer at Liberty Tax Service, where they administered the U. S. Tax Code for the preparation of over 100 tax returns from December 2012 to May 2013.

Michael also gained valuable experience as a Business Manager at Alpha Management Group & Alpha Remodeling from August 2011 to March 2013. In this role, they were responsible for capital and operational budgeting for non-profit fraternity organizations, financial statement production and analysis, and client education. Michael also handled tenant communication and accounts payable control.

Additionally, Michael worked as an Accounting Clerk at NHC Financial Services from April 2008 to April 2010. Michael performed monthly bookkeeping and payroll for multiple clients, processed financial statements and bank reconciliations, and maintained Quickbooks, Excel, and Access files.

Prior to their civilian career, Michael served in the US Army as a Signal Engineer from July 2000 to July 2004. Michael was responsible for providing reliable telephone and internet service, establishing communication links in Iraq and South Korea, and training and leading soldiers in communication procedures and operations.

Michael Terry completed their Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Accounting from Monroe County Community College between the years 2004 to 2007. Subsequently, between 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
