Harry McSteen has a diverse range of work experience. Harry began their career as a Lifeguard at Splash Station Water Park from 2013 to 2015, where they worked full-time during the summer and on weekends in the off-season. Harry then became a Headguard at the same park from 2016 to 2016, where they mentored their peers and demonstrated leadership skills. After that, they worked as a Sales Representative for CUTCO Cutlery in 2017, selling over $10,000 worth of products in a 10-day period. Additionally, in 2017, they worked as a Pool Manager at the Boys and Girls Club of Joliet, overseeing a team and managing daily operations. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Student Designer at Hasbro, where they identified brand language for new product development. Harry also participated in Design Good Now as a Design Lead from 2018 to 2019, managing an interdisciplinary team and implementing cultural practices in medical design. In 2021, they served as an Artist In Residence at Cliff Dwellers. Currently, they are an Industrial and Graphic Designer at TricorBraun starting from June 2022.

Harry McSteen received their High School Diploma from Joliet Catholic Academy in 2016. Harry then pursued their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Industrial and Product Design at Purdue University, where they are expected to graduate in 2022. In 2019, they participated in a study abroad program at DIS, focusing on Furniture Design.
