John Fissel

John Fissel, PhD, D(ABMM), currently serves as the Medical Director of Infectious Disease at TriCore Reference Laboratories since August 2023. Prior to this role, John was a Clinical Microbiology Fellow at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and a Clinical Laboratory Specialist at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. John has a background in microbiology, having obtained a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from New Mexico State University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Pathobiology from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Before their doctoral studies, John worked as a Laboratory Assistant at Sapphire Energy Inc. where John focused on QAQC for pond management decisions.
