El Matanguihan has a significant amount of experience in creative and leadership roles in the marketing and advertising industry. Starting from 2022, El Matanguihan has been working as a Regional Creative Director, APAC at Sonoco-Trident. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, El Matanguihan held the position of Regional Creative Director at Marks, part of SGS & Co. From 2016 to 2021, El Matanguihan served as the Regional Creative Director at Always Marketing Services (A WPP Company). Throughout the years, El Matanguihan has held various roles including Consultant/Creative Director at TBWA\\ Group Singapore\\eg+ Worldwide in 2015, Consultant/Creative Director at Always Marketing Singapore in 2014, Director/Art & Brand Management at NiCE ltd. from 2010 to 2014, Creative Director/Managing Partner at Storeage-group in 2009-2010, and Creative Director SEA at Anthem Worldwide in 2008-2009. Additionally, El Matanguihan has also worked as a Design Director & Brand Management/Creative Group Head at Bates 141 Worldwide TH/SG from 2003 to 2008, and as a Design Director SEA at McCann World Group from 2000 to 2003.
El Matanguihan obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Advertising from the Institute of Fine Arts & Design - PWU Manila. This educational journey lasted from 1993 to 1997.
