Orren A. Whiddon has extensive experience in the field of engineering and production. Orren A. began their career at Frostburg State University as a Student Assistant and Technologist, where they assisted in building a database of information for interactive geography classes and set up computers for student use. In 2011, they joined Bioscan, Inc. as an Instrument Technician, where they were responsible for the precision construction of systems for the BioFLECT preclinical laser imager. Orren A. also handcrafted engineering design changes and produced high-quality assemblies. Orren then moved on to become an Engineering and Production Technician at Bioscan, Inc., where they led the assembly during the first production run of the BioFLECT imager. Orren A. developed alignment techniques that are still used today and worked closely with the engineering team. In 2013, Orren joined Trifoil Imaging as an Engineering and Production Technician, where they ran FLECT production at a satellite facility and managed daily production time and tasks for a manufacturing team. Orren A. also became a Field Service Engineer at Trifoil Imaging, providing onsite and remote service engineering for preclinical imaging systems. These systems included CT, SPECT, PET, and FLECT, and Orren worked both in the U.S. and abroad.

Orren A. Whiddon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography - Mapping Sciences from Frostburg State University in 2011. The start year for their education is not specified.
