Paolo Simonato

Paolo is a Partner at Trilantic Europe heading Energy Transition Investments. He earlier worked as co-head of Europe at BlackRock Private Equity Partners supporting major clients and new initiatives development. Prior to BlackRock Paolo worked at General Electric for 24 years; first as auditor in the United States, then in the GE Energy M&A team. At GE Investments since 2000, he turned-around the Latin America private equity portfolio and later set-up the European private equity team as its Managing Director. From 2012 he joined GE Capital as Chief Strategy Officer, member of the credit committee and the executive committee of GE Corporate Finance Bank SCA, underwriting c. €4.5B in new European buy-out loans (c.100 mid-market transactions). Paolo has a degree from Luigi Bocconi University cum laude, is a well-known speaker at major industry events and enjoys sailing.
