Kerry Lawford has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Kerry began their career as an Intensive Care Nurse at multiple hospitals, including Hornsby & Ku-ring-gai Hospital, Royal Brisbane Hospital, and Townsville General Hospital. In 1990, they worked as an Intensive Care Nurse at Toowoomba Base Hospital, before transitioning to the role of Operating Theatre Manager at St Andrews Toowoomba in 1991. Kerry then served as the Assistant Director of Nursing at St Andrews Private Hospital Toowoomba in 1995, and later became the Operating Theatre Manager at Northwest Private Hospital and Caboolture Private Hospital in 1996.
In 2000, Kerry Lawford embarked on a new venture and co-founded LMT Surgical, a company focused on providing innovative surgical products. As the Owner and Managing Director of LMT Surgical, they played a pivotal role in its strategic development and growth, gradually expanding the business to a team of 95 employees across Australia and New Zealand. Kerry also traveled extensively to establish relationships with key suppliers worldwide. Kerry Lawford continued to contribute to LMT Surgical until March 2021, holding positions such as General Manager and Consultant.
More recently, in February 2023, Kerry Lawford joined TriMed as the Senior Vice President.
Kerry Lawford completed their Bachelor of Nursing degree at Flinders University from 1990 to 1993. Prior to that, they attended Tara Church of England Girls School from 1970 to 1975. Additionally, Kerry Lawford graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors as a Graduate in the Company Directors Course (GAICD), though the exact dates are not provided.
