Sarah Espinosa has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sarah is currently working at TriMet as a Principal Project Manager, a role they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at TriMet as a Project Manager from April 2015 to March 2022, where they were responsible for various projects including the design and construction of PMLR safety upgrades.
Before joining TriMet, Sarah worked as an Office Engineer at Portland to Milwaukie Light Rail - West Segment from May 2011 to March 2015. Sarah also has experience as a Consultant at Pacific Community Design, Inc. from December 2010 to February 2011, and as a Civil Engineer at Otak from December 2002 to November 2010.
Sarah's early career includes roles as an Engineering/Information Technology Intern at Port of Portland from July 2001 to April 2002, a Summer Engineer/Engineering Intern at Kiewit Pacific Co. from May 2000 to July 2001, and an Administrative Assistant/Engineering Intern at Moffatt, Nichol & Bonney, Inc. from June 1997 to April 2000.
Sarah Espinosa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Portland, where they studied from 1996 to 2002. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including the Associate Design-Build Professional Certification from the Design-Build Institute of America in 2022, the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification from CMAA in 2019, and the Professional Engineer (PE) license from the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering & Land Surveying in 2008.
