Robert Read

Director, Veterinary Pathology at TriMetis Life Sciences

Robert Read has been working in the field of Veterinary Pathology since 1981. Robert began their career as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Clayton Foundation for Biomedical Research. In 1991, they moved to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as an Assistant Instructor/Assistant Professor of Pathology. In 2002, they took a role as Assistant Professor of Pathology at Mississippi State University - CVM. In 2006, they became Associate Director of Pathology at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals. From 2012 to 2017, Robert worked as a Veterinary Pathologist at ComPathCon Research, where they promoted and aided translational research in private and public institutions. From 2017 to present, Robert has been working as a Director of Veterinary Pathology at TriMetis Life Sciences and as an Associate Professor of Biology at The University of Memphis.

Robert Read obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin between 1985 and 1988. Robert then earned a BS and DVM in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University between 1972 and 1977. From 1988 to 1990, they were a research fellow in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Robert also completed a Veterinary Pathology Residency Program at Mississippi State University - College of Veterinary Medicine between 1900 and 1901. Additionally, they obtained a Diplomate ACVP certification.
