Debt Portfolio Manager at TRINE

Viktor Andersson is currently the Debt Portfolio Manager at TRINE, a position they have held since January of 2017. In this role, Viktor is responsible for sourcing debt transactions from off-grid solar companies in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Viktor has also been instrumental in developing professional investment solutions that provide access to the global off-grid solar industry.

Some of Viktor's notable accomplishments include initiating and closing the first transaction with Greenlight Planet, one of the leaders in the space globally. Viktor has also initiated and closed EUR6mn funding for BBOXX Kenya, the world’s largest crowd-investment initiative for solar energy in rural Africa, to date. Additionally, Viktor has initiated and closed EUR0.5mn funding for EcoEnergy in Pakistan, TRINE's first investment outside of Africa.

In addition to their work with individual companies, Viktor has also been responsible for structuring and marketing the TRINE/Azuri SPV for professional investors. This is an innovative off-balance sheet funding solution that provides 20,000 Kenyan homes with solar energy. Most recently, Viktor has initiated and closed EUR6mn funding for SolarHome in Myanmar, TRINE's first investment in South East Asia.

Viktor Andersson enrolled in a financial economics and econometrics program at Uppsala University. Viktor completed their undergraduate studies and earned a Bsc in the field.
