Ben Malcolmson

Ben Malcolmson is a Director of Equipment Financing and is responsible for business development for Trinity Capital’s Equipment Financing efforts. His responsibilities include sourcing new investment opportunities, developing referral relationships, and performing due diligence on potential equipment financing opportunities.

Prior to joining Trinity, Malcolmson spent 10 years as the chief of staff to Pete Carroll, head coach of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks.

In total, Malcolmson worked alongside Carroll for 14 seasons, including 11 at the Seattle Seahawks and 3 at the University of Southern California.

Malcolmson graduated from USC with a Master’s degree in Communication Management and a B.A. in Print Journalism. During his college years, Malcolmson spent one fairytale season as a walk-on wide receiver for the USC Trojans football team. The unlikely story is captured in his 2018 book entitled “Walk On: From Pee Wee Dropout to the NFL Sidelines.”
