Gerry Harder is the Chief Operating Officer at Trinity Capital and is responsible for analyzing new investment opportunities, monitoring Trinity’s investment portfolio, and collaborating on execution of the firm’s investment strategy, objectives, and asset allocation.
Prior to joining Trinity in 2016, Harder spent over 30 years in the electronics industry, with experience in semiconductors, electronic systems, and medical devices. In 1994, he was co-founder of Vivid Semiconductor, a venture funded semiconductor start-up which was later acquired by National Semiconductor.
Throughout his career, he has served in various technical and leadership roles at companies such as Motorola, Medtronic, Cirrus Logic and ON Semiconductor. His experience with a broad range of technologies and end-user applications is incredibly valuable to companies in the Trinity portfolio.
Harder holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.
