Tian Carey is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow and Lab Supervisor at Trinity College Dublin since 2021, overseeing a laboratory module for approximately 50 students and several teaching assistants. Since 2018, Tian has also been a Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellow, founding Textile Two Dimensional Ltd, a spin-off company from the University of Cambridge that innovates textiles utilizing graphene and 2D materials. Previously, Tian served as a Research Associate at Imperial College London, developing wearable electronic devices with 2D materials and contributing to the integration of advanced materials for photonics. Tian's academic journey includes supervisory roles at the University of Cambridge for both master's and undergraduate projects and teaching research skills in inkjet printing to students. Tian holds a Ph.D. in Graphene Technology and an MPhil in Micro and Nanotechnology Enterprise, both from the University of Cambridge, and a BSc in Physics with Astronomy and Space Science from University College Dublin.
