Vincent Wade is a Professor and Chair of Computer Science at Trinity College Dublin, where Vincent has served since 1988, specializing in Intelligent Systems. As Director of the Centre for Next Generation Localisation and Personalisation and Academic Director of the Learnovate Centre, Vincent has contributed significantly to applied research in Learning Technologies. Additionally, Vincent holds the position of CEO at the ADAPT SFI Research Centre for AI and Digital Media Technology and has been involved with various roles, including Deputy Director of the Centre for Next Generation Localisation and Head of Intelligent Systems/Artificial Intelligence at the former CNGL. Vincent co-founded EmpowerTheUser (ETU) and served as Director from 2009 to 2022, while also gaining experience as a Visiting Scientist at IBM Ireland and a Research Director at the Knowledge and Data Engineering Group. Vincent earned a PhD in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin in 2006, along with an MSc in Computer Science from the same institution and a BSc (Hons) from University College Dublin.
