Wolfgang Schmidt

Wolfgang Schmitt is currently a Professor of Inorganic and Materials Chemistry at Trinity College Dublin since September 2005. Wolfgang also serves as the Vice-President for Research at the same institution. Previously, Wolfgang was a Director & Co-Founder at NEG8 Carbon (formerly Trinity Green Energies) from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, Wolfgang was a Research Fellow at the National Institute for Materials Science. Wolfgang also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Royal Institution; Davy Faraday Research Laboratory. Wolfgang holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and a Dipl Ing. in Chemistry from Technische Universität Darmstadt. Additionally, Wolfgang briefly studied at the University of East Anglia.
