Jim Lacovara

Jim Lacovara serves as the Vice President of Public Sector at Trinity Cyber, beginning in December 2024. Previously, Jim held the position of Director of Business Development - Cyber at By Light Professional IT Services from July 2021 to December 2024, focusing on developing innovative cybersecurity solutions for government agencies. Prior to this, Jim worked as the Deputy Chief of Defensive Cyber Operations at the Defense Information Systems Agency, managing a large team and overseeing cyber defense capabilities for the Department of Defense. Other notable roles include Cybersecurity Transformation Lead at the National Security Agency and various leadership positions in the U.S. Army, where Jim directed satellite communications operations and provided critical IT services. Educational credentials include an MBA from Cornell University and degrees in Computer Science and Engineering Management from Drexel University.
