Kristan Walker has a diverse work experience in social work and community outreach. Kristan started their career as a BSW Intern at West Georgia Dialysis in 2011. Kristan then worked as a Campus Ministry Intern at Auburn Wesley Foundation in 2012 and as an MSW Intern at Collat Jewish Family Services in 2013. Following these internships, they joined Fresenius Medical Care as a Social Worker, providing case management to renal patients and connecting them to outside agencies to meet their basic needs. In 2014, they worked as a Social Worker at UAB Medicine, where they connected hospitalized individuals to resources for their safe transition to the next level of care. Since 2015, they have been serving as the Director of Outreach and Social Worker at Trinity United Methodist Church, overseeing social service programming and spearheading initiatives such as a food pantry, weekend meal program, and clothing closet for low-income families.

Kristan Walker earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Work from Auburn University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Later, from 2012 to 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Social Work at The University of Alabama.
