J.j. Barrios

J.J. Barrios has extensive work experience in the field of tax and finance. J.J. is currently working as the VP & Chief Tax Officer at Trinseo since April 2022. Prior to this, they were the VP of Tax and Global Head of Tax at eXp World Holdings from December 2020 to April 2022. Before that, they served as the VP of Tax, International at Dentsply Sirona from January 2020 to November 2020.

Before joining Dentsply Sirona, J.J. Barrios held various positions at The Chemours Company and DuPont. At The Chemours Company, they worked as the Director of Global Tax from January 2018 to December 2019. J.J. also served as the Senior Manager of International Tax Ops. and Transfer Pricing from January 2015 to December 2017.

At DuPont, J.J. Barrios had several roles including Sr. Manager of International Tax Ops. and Transfer Pricing for the Performance Chemicals division and Manager of Area Tax for Europe, the Middle East & Africa. J.J. was also a Manager of International Tax and a Senior Consultant of International Tax during their tenure at DuPont.

Prior to joining DuPont, J.J. Barrios worked at E&Y as a Manager of Tax Advisory from May 2001 to June 2004, and at KPMG as an Analyst of Tax from August 1999 to April 2001.

J.J. Barrios has an extensive education history. J.J. began their academic journey in 1995 by pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. After completing their undergraduate studies in 1999, they went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree in Law from the Technological University of Mexico in 2002. Following this, in 2002-2003, they pursued a Masters degree in Tax Law at Panamerican University. To further enhance their knowledge and expertise in the field of taxation, Barrios enrolled at Villanova University School of Law from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained an LLM in Taxation.
