Guus van der Weijden RC has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Guus started their professional career as a Trainee at KPMG Nederland in 2004 and later joined Control Finance (now Control) as a Financial Consultant. Guus worked on behalf of Achmea as their primary client during this time. In 2007, they transitioned to Achmea, where they held roles such as Business Controller and Senior Corporate Controller. Guus also served as the Manager Change & Information Management, where they were responsible for the information management function of Achmea IT.

In 2013, Guus joined Achmea again and took on the role of Manager Group Planning & Performance. Guus oversaw the planning and control cycle of Achmea NL and its foreign operating companies and was responsible for activities such as strategy and target setting, budgeting, performance management, and reporting. Guus also worked as a Senior Innovation Expert Finance & Control and a Transition Manager Finance & Risk during their tenure at Achmea.

Apart from their roles at Achmea, Guus has had experiences outside the company as well. Guus served as the Secretary to the Board of Finance Directors of Achmea from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, they worked as a Lecturer in Corporate Finance at Nyenrode Business Universiteit and as a Thesis Supervisor for accountancy students at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen. Guus was also a Board Member of the owners association at VVE de Blauwe Weide.

Currently, Guus is working as the Group Director Controlling a.i. and Manager Business Finance / Head of Finance NL a.i. at Triodos Bank. Guus also worked as an Interim Professional at Green Meadows Advisory. Throughout their career, Guus has achieved significant results, including improving employee satisfaction scores, implementing benefit management, and achieving cost reductions while preserving employee satisfaction.

- From 2008 to 2011, they attended Nyenrode Business University and earned a Postgraduate degree in Executive Master of Finance & Control.

- From 2005 to 2007, they studied at Radboud University and obtained a Msc degree in Business Administration.

- From 2000 to 2003, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at HAN University of Applied Sciences.
