Kenneth Labeja is a seasoned finance and energy professional with over twenty years of experience in the field. Kenneth started their career at KPMG East Africa, where they worked as a Senior Auditor from 2000 to 2003. Later, they moved on to Credit Suisse as an Associate in Energy Investment Banking from 2005 to 2008. After that, Kenneth worked for NRG Energy for eight years, where they were the Senior Director M&A, Project Finance, and Development from 2008 to 2016. In the same year, they became a Self-Employed Consultant before joining Avangrid Renewables as the Director of Renewables Business Development from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, they served as the Chief Financial Officer of Triple Oak Power. Currently, Kenneth is the Board Treasurer of Renewable Northwest.
Kenneth Labeja obtained their MBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 2003 and 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a BComm in Finance and Accounting from the National University of Lesotho from 1994 to 1998. Kenneth completed their IGCSE in English, Mathematics, and Science at Machabeng High School between 1992 and 1994. Kenneth'searliest education was at Lake Road School between 1986 and 1992, but they did not obtain a degree or field of study from that institution. Kenneth also has two additional certifications: a Chartered Certified Accountant from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants obtained in January 2003 and a Series 7 from the National Association of Securities Dealers obtained in September 2005.
