Nick Sparks has extensive experience in forestry and power management. Nick has held various roles, starting with their work as a Forestry Technician for Family Forestry. Here, they performed harvest layouts, timber acquisitions, forest inventories, and assisted a licensed forester with everyday duties. Nick then went on to work as an Associate Distribution Forester for Dominion Virginia Power, where they managed tree contractors, responded to outage events, and maintained area budgets and trim cycles. After that, they became a Transmission Vegetation Coordinator for Entergy, where they supervised the Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) program along 2000 miles of electric transmission lines. Nick also created budgets, yearly work plans, and supervised field personnel while responding to storm events. Sparks then became a Manager of Right-of-Way for White River Valley Electric Cooperative, where they served for three years before moving to Triple Oak Power in 2023 as a Manager of Business Development.
Nick Sparks earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of Maine. Nick also obtained several certifications, including Utility Specialist from the International Society of Arboriculture, UAS Remote Pilot from the FAA, ISA Arborist from the International Society of Arboriculture, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Commercial Not for Hire Pesticide Applicator from the Arkansas State Plant Board, although it is unclear when they obtained this certification.
