Steve Penrod

Steve Penrod is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software development and product engineering. Currently serving as Principal Architect and Senior Director of Product Development at TripleBlind since January 2020, Steve focuses on ensuring privacy for data and algorithms. As the founding CTO and ongoing advisor for COVID Safe Paths, Steve contributed to building open-source technology for COVID-19 contact tracing. Previously, Steve co-founded Mycroft AI, where the goal was to develop the first Open Source AI. Other key roles include Founder and Owner of Penrod Development Group, Vice President of Engineering at Rhythm Engineering, Associate Director of Software Development at Gene Network Sciences, and programmer at Autodesk and Softdesk. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Kansas.
