Christina Giannakou, PhD, is an experienced toxicologist and registration specialist at TRISKELION since February 2019, focusing on risk assessment of industrial chemicals, food contact materials, and nanoforms. Prior to this role, Christina served as a project manager for food chain safety and conducted significant research at RIVM and Maastricht University, where a regulatory strategy for non-clinical testing of nanomedicines was developed during PhD studies. Additional research experiences include work as a guest researcher and internships at Utrecht University, centered around immunotoxicology, nanotoxicology, and microbiological experiments at LEITAT Technological Center. Christina holds a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology, a Master’s degree in Toxicology and Environmental Health, and a biology diploma from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, complemented by an Erasmus study in Hamburg.
