Rebecca Burrell has a diverse work experience. Rebecca began their career as a Software Engineer at Empirix, where they developed a C++ visual user interface for a network traffic analyzer. Rebecca then joined Grove Instruments as a Principal Algorithm Developer and Scientist, leading the algorithm development for a noninvasive blood glucose monitor. Rebecca also worked at NeuroMetrix, Inc. as an R&D Consultant, developing a calibration system for a wearable pain relief device. Currently, they serve as the Manager of Global Research at Breas Medical and as the Head Swim Coach at Triton Regional School District. Additionally, they have previous experience as an Assistant Swim Coach at YMCA of the North Shore.
Rebecca Burrell has a strong educational background in the field of engineering. Rebecca attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering in 1995. Following that, they pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from 1995 to 1997. Rebecca continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from 1997 to 2000.
