Jerry Guzman Cossio

Jerry Guzman Cossio has extensive experience in law enforcement and security, serving as a Deputy Sheriff and 1st Sergeant with Washoe County from January 1995 until retirement in May 2015. Post-retirement, Jerry continues engagement in security through positions as Team Leader at an undisclosed company and Security Professional at Triumph Protection Group. Jerry's prior responsibilities included managing major projects for the Washoe County Sheriff's Office and Jail as an Administrative Deputy Sergeant/Project Manager. Leadership roles include past president of the Washoe County Sheriff's Supervisory Deputies Association and the Latino Peace Officers Association. Jerry’s background in the electrical field includes a tenure as Journeyman Wireman (Master Electrician) at IBEW Local 11. Education includes specialized training in detention response and electrical apprenticeship programs.
