Nitin Pai has a diverse work experience, starting as a Fieldwork intern at BAIF Research Development Foundation in 2009. Nitin then worked as a Summer Intern at Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Winter Intern at ICICI Bank in 2010. Nitin joined METRO Cash and Carry India Pvt Ltd in 2011, where they held various roles including Management Trainee, Asst Manager, and Target Group Management-Customer Marketing. In 2014, they became a Project lead at METRO AG, responsible for projects in India and Germany. Nitin then served as General Manager Operations and Store Manager (in Training) at METRO Cash & Carry India Private Limited before joining HOSPITALITY.digital (METRO AG) as a Project Manager-Foodtech in 2017. Currently, they hold the position of Global Head of Customer Engagement at trivago since 2021.

Nitin Pai pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) between 2009 and 2011. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelors in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai. Nitin also holds additional certifications in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Coursera and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
