Ben Swarts

Ben Swarts has over 20 years of experience in talent acquisition and recruitment. Ben currently serves as the Talent Acquisition Lead for the Australia Region at Tronox, where they oversee an internal recruitment team. Prior to this, they worked as a Talent Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Newmont Australia and as the Head of Talent Acquisition for LATAM & Asia Pacific at Barrick Gold Corporation. Ben also has experience in recruitment team leadership roles at First Quantum Minerals, Globe 24-7, Monadelphous, and Barrick Gold Corporation. Ben began their career as a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Cowan International and the Talent Institute. Throughout their career, Ben has developed recruitment strategies, established recruitment teams, and provided end-to-end recruitment services for various mining and engineering companies.

Ben Swarts attended the University of the Free State and obtained a B Soc Sc (Hons) degree in Psychology.
