Kamal Akhtar

Kamal Akhtar has extensive experience in the chemical engineering sector, currently serving in R&D at Tronox since April 2019. Prior to this role, Kamal held multiple positions at Cristal Metals from January 2009 to April 2019, including Operations and Technology & Quality. Kamal also spent a significant portion of career at Cristal Global from 1996 to December 2008 as Manager of Manufacturing Processes, and at Millennium Inorganic Chemicals, where roles included Manager of Process Development and Portfolio Manager for Business Development between 2002 and 2008. Kamal earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati (1988-1993) and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (1984-1988). Early education was completed at Don Bosco School (Park Circus) from 1971 to 1983.
