Karen Purcell is an experienced lighting technician and designer with a diverse background in the entertainment industry. Currently serving as the Lead Lighting Technician at Tropicana Atlantic City since June 2021, Karen supervises crew operations for shows, conventions, and special events, while also managing purchasing and scheduling responsibilities. With a career spanning several decades, Karen has held various positions across notable venues including IATSE 917, Resorts Casino Hotel, Golden Nugget Casino, and Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, showcasing expertise in lighting installation, operation, and maintenance. A dedicated lighting designer for Pizzazz Dance Center since September 2000, Karen's educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, along with a certification in AutoCAD from CDM Institute of Technology.
